Humble Beginnings
Merlage's story began in the south of France in the summer of 2023, with the discovery of vintage pins whose nostalgic beauty sparked a unique idea.
A small bag of pins and a lot of inspiration later, the first Merlage phone cases were born, elevating a case from a simple accessory to a cherished gem.

The phone cases are expertly crafted by a renowned manufacturer recognized for their expertise in producing high quality phone cases.
They hold certifications such as SEDEX, ISO9001, ISO14001, GRS and BSCI to verify their commitment to ethical and environmental practices and improvements.
14k Gold Jewelry
Merlage uses stainless steel, one of the finest materials for long-lasting jewelry. Known for its durability, resistance to tarnish, waterproof and hypoallergenic properties, the jewels are further enhanced with a special 14k gold plating method and protective layer, ensuring a luxurious finish that stands the test of time.
In fact, the Merlage jewels achieved the highest score in the LVMH group's wear-out test.
Responsible Jewelry
One of Merlage's two esteemed jewelry manufacturers is certified by RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council), Sedex, and ISO 9001. The RJC certification is an industry-leading standard that ensures responsible business practices, focusing on ethical sourcing, human rights, and supply chain transparency.
This factory specializes in the handmade enamel work of Merlage’s jewels. While they outsource stainless steel production to a BSCI-certified factory, this guarantees the highest quality in every component of their jewelry.
The Art of Enamel
The other jewelry partner is a distinguished stainless steel factory that performs every step in-house, from casting to handmade enameling. With Sedex and ISO 9001 certifications, this factory produces hardware for prestigious names such as Celine and LOEWE, and creates jewelry for Swarovski and Pandora.
Sedex certification ensures ethical and responsible business practices, while ISO 9001 guarantees a robust quality management system.
Hand-Embellished
The founders of Merlage S&L not only design each piece of jewelry but also hand-embellish every jewel onto the phone cases themselves in their studio, nestled in the Swiss countryside.
Together with engineers from a top adhesive company, extensive testing has been done to find the best, long-lasting solution for securing jewels on the phone cases.
